Ernest "Owoahene" Nana Acheampong, widely known as Nana Acheampong, is a legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician and a pioneer of the Burger Highlife genre alongside his partner in the Lumba Brothers, Daddy Lumba. Hailing from Abuakwa in the Ashanti Region and a graduate of the Kumasi Technical Institute, his career spans over three decades of chart-topping hits like Abu aka mesim and Naanka ɛbɛyɛ dɛn. Operating his own Owoahene Studio in Kumasi, the "Champion Lover Boy" remains a towering figure in Ghanaian music and is the father of contemporary Afrobeat star Gyakie.
